Our Team

Westrend Limited’s operations are geared towards partnering with our clients in such a way that allows them concentrate on the priorities of their day to day business while we take care of the various challenges involved in global logistics and documentation. As a result, our entire business is divided into three (3) departments, each manned by professionals: Operations, Administration and Technical departments.

Lead by a very energetic and vibrant Managing Director, Westrend Limited is a growing concern that has a highly skilled and committed work force of about 45 personnel. Due to our unalloyed commitment to the continuous improvement of the quality of services offered to our customers, we have lined up a lot of training programmes to bring every member of staff in line with the vision of the company of being “the preferred choice”. In addition, our key operational personnel are required to undergo the basic professional and administrative courses at the Customs Training College.

We always strive to adhere to all relevant legislative requirements and make conscious effort to be abreast of the latest service news and developments in and around the shipping industry to enable us offer prompt and expert advice to all our customers.

The Managing Director

MR. MONSURU ADEGBOLA also doubles as the chief strategy officer of the company. Mr. Adegbola has a degree in Insurance, had a stint with the Nigeria Customs Service and over 25 years experience in different areas of the logistics business. His wealth of knowledge in this area has been most invaluable to our clients.

Our entire business is divided into three (3) departments, each manned by professionals: Administration, Operations and Technical departments.

Administration

Oversees the day to day running of the company, ensures that rules are adhered to, sets targets, and see that they are met or even surpassed. Sources for new clients and reaches out to existing ones – they act as liaison officers between the organization and her external publics. The Client services, and Accounts staff are key members of this department.

Likewise, all the activities of other departments as well as the day to day running of the organization are over seen by this department. The Administration department is headed by the General Manager, MR. EMEKA AMAECHI. He has a Masters Degree, majoring in Public Relations from the University of Lagos. He has been with Westrend Limited from inception.

Operations

This is the activity hub of Westrend Limited’s services. The Haulage, Cargo Clearance and Warehousing businesses are all coordinated by the operations department. This department plans loading, monitors trucks up till the final destination.

The operations department is headed by MR. AZEEZ ADEGBOLA, a building Technology graduate of the famous Yaba College of Technology Lagos. Azeez has had over a decade experience in logistics.

Technical

This department oversees that our trucks are in good working condition at all times. All the truck mechanics, Electricians/Re-wirers, Welders and other technicians make up the technical department and is supervised by MR. RASHEED MOHAMMED. Rasheed has over 25 years experience in repairs and maintenance of DAF, MAN Diesel, and RENAULT model engines both in Ghana and Nigeria.

Drivers

Westrend Limited maintains a mixed and seasoned crop of licensed drivers who are familiar with the West Coast routes. Most of them understand the local dialects along these routes; they are highly experienced and are dedicated to proving haulage services that ensure safety of our clients stocks.
